A few snaps from the week…
+ Seed shopping, a little seed planting, and some weeding in the garden.
+ Made a rucksack in a new waxed canvas. I LOVE this color. That iPhone pic doesn’t do it full justice.
+ We hung some small art, and then discussed our bedroom and bathroom remodel. Oh yes! There will be some remodelling this year.
+ I stopped at the lake on my trip to the post office. Incredible clouds that day, and the bluest sky possible.
+ Sewing. Lots and lots of sewing.
+ Our espresso machine bit the dust so we are making coffee in the old vac pot again, until a replacement arrives (thank goodness for warranties).
It’s interesting to see the juxtaposition of that newfangled stainless steel contraption, next to the simplicity of the glass vac pot. That vacuum coffee maker is 70 years old or so, and it has never once failed us.
This set of snapshots is actually a mix of iPhone and DSLR photos. I’ve been thinking about photography quite a bit, and how much I enjoy it. For me it can turn an average day, into a day filled with creative art. I also enjoy the viewing and editing of photos. I really get into the details, and it shows me a few things about my perception, and what draws my eye. I’d like to push myself to explore photography more and might try to use this little “snapshots” series which seems to be forming, as an outlet for that. So I will be spending more time with the DSLR this week.
Welcome to a new week. I hope your weekend was fun and creative. We had KILLER weather here on the Oregon coast. Felt like a little taste of summer.
