We are back up and running, and all that snow we had so recently, is already like a memory. A utility worker here, who has been in the business for some 35 years, said this storm was one of the worst he has ever seen. I wish I knew how many power lines were down in all, but I heard tell of more down than up in certain treed areas.
I’m working hard at catching up. Feeling grateful for the return of all our modern conveniences, and also grateful for the complete and total break we had from our electronic world. It is profound how much electricity we depend on in our usual daily flow.
A lot of the things I thought I would have accomplished over the past week had to be scratched off the list. A favorite saying around here is, “Never promise yourself into the future.” It’s something I try to remind myself of often, because it has proven to be some pretty excellent advice.
Quite a few emails are starting to come in, asking when will the shop reopen, and the answer is SOON! I am really excited about reopening! I won’t make any promises as to exactly when, but my aim is to be open within about a week. I’ll keep you updated about that, here on the blog.
Time to get to work. I hope you all had a great weekend.
