shop update

I’ve added some new things to the shop today. A couple pairs of house shoes for women in vintage wools – one in the perfect tweedy eggplant plaid and the other in a really awesome navy houndstooth; a pair of baby boots in shades of purple and a belle ruche in chocolate brown twill lined with natural hemp. I have some more new bags in the making, hopefully to be ready in the next week or so, but I just couldn’t see waiting any longer to get these posted.

two things

Hi there! It’s been a crazy week but I did manage to get a couple things finished, photographed and posted for my intended shop update. I have just posted 2 new items in the shop. Expect a couple more later in the week.

I’m excited about this new Belle Ruche in Bright Blue. I found quite a few yards of this heavy twill at the thrift shop last week and after a wash it softened up really nicely. It’s quite a heavy denim weight and is sure to age beautifully.

The new baby boots are made with some of my favorite colors and fabrics – a striped linen and a wonderfully textured green apple corded canvas.. and of course, a hemp sole.

“Name That Bag” Contest Results!

I know, I have been such a neglectful blogger! At long last… announcing the results of the “Name That Bag” contest.

The winning vote is “Belle Ruche” submitted by the lovely Armi. Congratulations and thank you, Armi! She chose Belle Ruche “because the bag is very simple yet has a gorgeous texture [with the pintucking].”

Ruche, which means ruffle or pleat, seems a perfectly simple and beautiful description we think!

A big thank you to all of you who submitted suggestions. All of them were great and very much appreciated.

Meanwhile I have posted 2 Belle Ruche bags in the shop – one in graphite gray and one in rust brown. These are both limited fabrics so grab them while you can. The first of the Graphite has already sold.
