Hi lovely peeps. There’s a new waxed canvas tote in the shop here. This particular mix of materials was a custom request, and I loved how it turned out. It is now available for general purchase.

And that is all for today. I slept in late this morning! Always feel a little behind when I sleep in. Though it sure was nice to catch up on sleep.

buckles and leather

The Buckle Wallet has finally made it to the shop. I love these little guys! I made the first of these back in December, on a night when I had so much work to do it was ridiculous. Sometimes a creative break is exactly what’s needed though.

I had cut some leather for wrap wallets, and then realized I had cut the wrong leather. Instead of setting it aside, I felt stirred up to make something with it. Some buckles, a couple cuts of malt leather, a little bit of brainstorming, a small amount of trial and error… and this little wallet was born.

etsy holiday shop

The first ever Etsy Holiday Shop opened today in SoHo, NYC. It will be open daily from 10am – 10pm today, November 29 through Saturday, December 8. We are super honored to have some of our rucksacks featured there and available for purchase. If you are in the area, go check it out! You will find a well-curated selection of artisanal and vintage gifts, and there will be workshops and classes throughout the week. This is a fantastic opportunity to experience Etsy in person.

monday sale!

So… I have been debating whether or not to have a sale this weekend for at least a week. Truth is, I don’t even want to HEAR the words “Black Friday,” or even “Cyber Monday” for that matter. I am, on some levels, at odds with the whole frenzy. But I have to admit, even we took advantage of some amazing Black Friday sales, and got a few (yes, a few, oh my) new large appliances we have really been wanting/needing for a while. These sales were super exciting for us, and our new additions will raise our quality of life and make our home life more efficient and more pleasant.

Now in the shop. This one was made back in the summer, when the days were warm and soft.

Today is pretty warm, and quite soft. We even sat out on the porch for a while, stripped off all of our sweaters and sleeves, and soaked up some sunshine. It’s amazing how nurturing and healing a little bit of sunshine can be.

Just added a couple new things to each shop.

Over at infusion there is a new day pack in vintage military canvas and leather – I LOVE this leather; and a new wool herringbone pencil pouch (okay I LOVE this herringbone too!).

At Meadow + Mark there is rad little pair of woven leather lace-ups – wish I was a size 7! – and an accordion style peg rack.

 

I know it has been pretty quiet around here. Some exciting things have been happening over here for infusion. Like REALLY exciting. I will share more soon.

woohoo! I was pretty excited to learn this evening, that infusion has been featured on TreeHugger! Our 2-Tone Flap Tote in hemp denim and vintage wool made it into TreeHugger Exclusives Green Gift Guide, For the Fashion Buff : ) Thanks TreeHugger! There is something truly satisfying about seeing your work featured out there on the world wide web, particularly on a site with such a broad audience as TreeHugger.

Now it’s time to get back to work! I’m in production sew mode, working to get all your orders ready in time for Christmas. I am also hoping to have some “ready to ship” items available next week for the last minute shoppers out there.
